So I have been putting off spiffing up my archives page with this new theme for to long now. I was browsing over at The B earlier and say the new Live Archives plugin that was available. I simply had to have it :)
This plugin uses javascript to create something similar to a file heirarchy of all your blog posts in the format of Year(a folder) => Month(a folder) => Post Title(a file). Its really sweet and the things you can do with javascript really amaze me. I will have to sit down and learn that language sometime. You can see the plugin in action on my archives page.
Spent about 30 minutes trying to build CSS up from scratch myself and gave up. I am currently using Michaels CSS from The B and it looks awesome but the colors don’t really fit in with my color-less theme, so I will be replacing those with differeny shades of grey ASAP :)
I also re-added the weighted categories from the old theme on the archives page, you can see all the new goodies on there
Update - I have updated the CSS to fit into the theme i’m running. Check it out
